Several people have asked me about the pattern for the scarf in my blog header. I am very embarrased to admit that I have lost my notes on the scarf. Of course this is very just lame given my business is all about knitting organizers. The stitch came from the 365 Knitting Stitches a Year Perpetual Calendar but I could not figure out which one it was. If you don't have this calendar, you need to get it. Anyway, I searched the calendar and had other knitters search it as well and none of us could not figure it out. Well, Carol from Kansas City sent me an email about the pattern so I decided to take another look and I found it, the lacy rib on January 5!! So, here is the pattern:
Mohair Dreams Scarf
2 skeins of mohair yarn (I lost my labels)
US 10 needles
Hold 2 strands together and cast on 25 sts
Row 1 (RS): K1, *K2tog, YO, P1; rep from * to last 3 sts, K2tog, YO, K1
Row 2: P3, *K1, P2; rep from * to last 4 sts, K1, P3
Row 3: K1, YO, sl 1, K1, psso, *P1, YO, sl 1, K1, psso; rep from * to last st, K1
Row 4: Rep row 2
Repeat these 4 rows until scarf is desired length.
My scarf is 6" wide. If you want to change the width, the pattern works in multiples of 3 + 1 sts. I suggest using a stitch marker to mark the RS of the scarf.
Enjoy! Now I can finish my scarf as well.
Thanks for the pattern! I'm glad your first class went well--how fun! Just passing through on Stashalong patrol--have a great week! Good luck with your Olympic knitting!
